Why Bother Knob

Me, Jared and Tommie Cooper had a go at DeathStar on Sunday morning. We were graced by snow and super high winds, but the temp was not bad so we did not hesitate as we parked at the saddle and headed to Bother Knob.

Things were dreamlike until we dropped off of Bother and took a wrong turn down Bother Ridge instead of DeathStar. One bad decision led to another and we ended up hike-a-biking down a monster West Virginia hollow for about an hour or so.

Could have been much, much worse considering there were 60 mph winds and snow. No one was hurt and we made it back to a fire road pretty quickly.

Me, Jared, Tim, Kyle, and Colin hit Hillendale last night for some perfect frozen conditions and fresh diamond chip snow/ice. Beautiful evening indeed!

It's Friday!!!

Took a half-day yesterday and got out for a real nice road ride. Bayden and I went to the park after and he was quite dissapointed when there was no one there. I guess the off season at Bridgewater parks is February.

Tomorrow is last day of grouse season, may try to get out in the morning. Tonight we have a going away party for one of the soccer coaches, we don't get a chance to entertain much so it should be fun.

Did I mention it is Friday?

Another whirlwind weekend, but at home at least. A bit of a blur, but I do recall a night out with Whitney Saturday, a great ride to Flag Pole on a picture perfect Sunday, and a pretty enjoyable football game.

I am still home!!! Five days now and I am looking to extend the streak.
